Multifamily success story
At 5550 S. Dorchester Avenue, Fernwood Property Management and Antheus Capital partnered with the Peoples Gas Energy Efficiency Program to install two Axiom Energy micro combined heat and power (mCHP) units.
The system:
- Generates approximately 50,000 kWh of electricity annually
- Offsets about 20% of the building’s electric load
- Supplies roughly 55% of annual domestic hot water demand
- Helps reduce operating costs and improve overall energy efficiency while reducing strain on existing equipment
